Common questions
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No. Vespera has no accounts and makes no network requests. Everything works offline, including in airplane mode.
What does it cost?
Vespera is free, with everything included. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no ads in this version.
Where is my data stored?
On your device, and only there. Progress, practice history, shift results, saved recipes, notes and settings never leave your iPhone or iPad. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I erase my data?
In the app: Profile → Privacy & AI → Delete local data (the same control is in Profile → Preferences). Deletion is immediate and permanent. Deleting the app also removes everything it stored.
How do practice reminders work?
They are off until you turn them on, in Profile → Preferences → Reminders. At most one a day, scheduled on your device — nothing is sent from a server. If reminders are on but never arrive, check that notifications are allowed for Vespera in your device’s Settings → Notifications.
Does Vespera use AI?
Vespera’s teaching does not depend on it: every lesson, shift, debrief and practice conversation is written in advance and works on every supported device. Where a version offers features that use Apple’s on-device language model, they run only on iPhones and iPads that support Apple Intelligence, with it turned on, and nothing they use or produce leaves your device. Is Vespera a certification?
No. Vespera is training, not legal certification. It does not replace any certification your jurisdiction requires, and venue policy and local law always come first. The app never judges whether a real person is intoxicated or safe to drive.
What does “Awaiting professional review” on content mean?
Vespera labels the editorial status of every lesson, recipe and scenario honestly. Content written by the Vespera team that has not yet completed external professional review says so; when a review changes something, it is updated in a later version.
Which languages does Vespera support?
The app is available in English, Spanish and French, and follows your device’s language. This website is in English.
Troubleshooting
- The app won’t open or misbehaves: close it fully (swipe it away in the app switcher) and reopen. If that doesn’t help, restart your device.
- Something looks wrong after an iOS update: make sure you have the latest version of Vespera from the App Store, then restart the app.
- A shift, lesson or score looks incorrect: we want to know — email us what you saw and roughly when.
- Sending us details about your setup: Profile → Privacy & AI → App information shows a short report about the app — its version and content set, your iOS version and device type, and which features are on. It contains nothing about you, and you can read every line before choosing to share it.
- Reinstalling or changing devices: Vespera keeps no copy of your data anywhere else. Deleting the app deletes its data; your progress moves to a new device only through your own iPhone or iPad backup.
