Privacy Policy

The short version: Vespera stores everything on your device and sends nothing anywhere. There is nothing to collect, so nothing is collected.

Information we collect

None. Vespera has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no third-party software components. The app does not collect, receive, or transmit any personal information — or any information at all. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.

Tracking

Vespera does not track you, does not fingerprint your device, and contains no trackers. The app’s privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data of any kind.

Network behavior

The app makes no network requests. It has no backend and no servers, and it works fully offline — including in airplane mode. The only network activity involved in using Vespera is Apple’s own App Store download and update mechanism, which Apple operates under its own privacy terms.

The links in the app to the Support page, this policy and the Terms of Use open in your browser. They are fixed addresses; nothing about you is added to them.

On-device AI

Vespera never sends what you type, or anything about you, to an AI service. Its teaching does not depend on AI: every lesson, shift, debrief and practice conversation is written in advance and works on every supported device.

Whether your version includes AI features is shown in the app, in Profile → Privacy & AI. Where it does, those features use Apple’s language model on your iPhone or iPad. Everything they use and produce stays on the device: nothing is sent to Vespera, to Apple, or to anyone else, and nothing is kept once the conversation or screen ends. If you report a generated reply, the report stays on your device too. On a device that cannot run Apple’s model, these features are not offered.

Notifications

Vespera asks for permission to show notifications only if you turn on practice reminders, in Profile → Preferences → Reminders. Reminders are scheduled by your device itself; no server is involved, and nothing leaves your device. You can turn them off in the app, or withdraw the permission at any time in your device’s Settings → Notifications.

What stays on your device

Your profile, preferences, learning progress, practice history, shift results, saved recipes and private notes are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad, and only there. They stay until you delete them; Vespera keeps no copy anywhere else. They are included in your device backups according to your own iOS backup settings.

You can erase all of it at any time inside the app, from Profile → Privacy & AI → Delete local data (the same control is in Profile → Preferences). Deletion is immediate and permanent. Deleting the app also removes everything it stored on the device.

What you choose to share

App information. In Profile → Privacy & AI → App information, the app can show a short report describing itself — its version and content set, your iOS version, your device type (such as “iPhone”), and which features are on. It contains no name, no progress, no notes and no device identifier. It leaves your device only if you choose to share it, and then only to wherever you send it.

Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. It is not connected to the app in any way — the app holds nothing that could be matched to it. Mail to our address is handled by Google’s Gmail service under Google’s own privacy terms.

This website

This website is a set of static pages. It uses no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and no scripts. It is hosted by Netlify, which, like any web host, processes the technical information needed to deliver the pages to your browser, under its own privacy terms.

Third parties

The app contains no third-party code and shares nothing with anyone. The services involved in using Vespera are Apple (the App Store, and — where AI features are offered — its on-device model, which runs on your device), Google (if you email us), and Netlify (this website). Each operates under its own privacy terms.

Responsible-service training content

Vespera teaches responsible alcohol service as part of its training. The app never assesses any real person: it does not determine anyone’s intoxication or blood-alcohol level, and it never judges whether someone is safe to drive. Training answers you give inside the app stay on your device like everything else.

Children

Vespera is professional training material about alcohol service and carries the App Store’s highest age rating. It is not directed at children, and because the app collects no information, it collects no information from children.

Your rights

Because Vespera holds no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on any server. Every piece of data the app creates is in your hands, on your device, under your control.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Vespera changes any of the behavior described here, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date above revised. The policy for each version describes what that version actually does.
